Teacher Cover Letter - Free Resume Cover Letter Examples

Before looking at a sample teacher cover letter, here are a few tips on how to approach the job. Choose the paper carefully. While printing your resume and cover letter choose a professional looking font (not some fancy type or cartoon type). A font size of 12 points is easy to read. The cover letter must briefly communicate why you are the teacher they must hire. Write your experience, your goals, interests etc in brief, presenting a story that interests the interviewer enough to call you for an interview. Think well and spend some time in choosing the tone and content. It must have energy and enthusiasm and a fair representation of your abilities and skills.

A sample teacher cover letter would read something like the following.

Mr. Andrew Strauss
Human Resource Manager
XYZ School
11 Literature Street
Atrium, GA 12344

Dear Mr. Strauss,

I am seeking full time employment as an English teacher in your school. I am convinced that my teaching experience, coupled with related activities outside the classroom provides a diverse background with much to offer to this post.

I received my Bachelor of Arts degree from New York State University, New York in May 2005. Since then I have student teaching experience both suburban and urban school districts. During my two student teaching placements, I have focused on teaching learning concepts to children in a manner that is easy to understand for children with all kinds of learning abilities. I have found that children respond to learning with a great deal of enthusiasm and freshness when they identify with the method and once the love of learning is inculcated, the infinite power of their mind comes into play.

I take great pride in being a teacher, and find fulfillment in this career and I would surely enjoy the opportunity to work at your school. I appreciate your consideration of my application.

Respectfully,

John Smith
